New Weight Room Project to Begin During Spring Break

MESSAGE FROM THE SENIOR DIRECTOR

I would like to share with you news of a change in the North Hills Preparatory administration for the upcoming school year.  Rick Fernandez, Upper School Director, has accepted the position as Uplift IB Coordinator and will serve all of the Uplift Schools as they move ahead to become IB authorized.  Rick will remain in his current position for the remainder of this school year 2009-2010.  We have started a nationwide search with Victory Search Group to find Rick’s replacement as the 9th -12th grade Upper School Director.  We are looking for an educator who has strong experience and training in IB and AP.  Our search entails looking for a leader who will contribute to the strong administrative team that is in place at North Hills and will support moving our school toward our vision and  goals.  Rick will continue his work here at North Hills Preparatory one and a half days a week with the IB programs.  He will be working with Charles Ryder, DP Coordinator, Shahnez Wadhwania, MYP Coordinator and Dawn Burkholder, PYP Coordinator.  His leadership will support our IB Continuum.

A huge thanks goes to Rick for all that he has contributed to our students, staff and community as the Upper School Director and Instructional Dean.  His contributions have made a tremendous impact on our school.  Rick had given 110% and I truly want everyone to know how much he is respected and appreciated by the administrative team and staff. We look forward to the contribution he will continue to make at NHP and wish him well in his new role as well.
