Jay Grob serves as a meber of the North Hills’ Operating Board. Jay is a business executive in the Dallas area. Until 2008, Jay was a senior partner with the international management consulting firm Bain & Company, where he worked for 20 years. During his tenure with Bain, Jay also completed work with Just for the Kids, an education non-profit that focuses on data capture and analysis to help drive accountability and student performance in public schools. Jay holds a BA from Rice University and hails from Houston, Texas. He is married with two children who attend North Hills.
Laurie Elmore - Secretarylelmore@bdo.comLaurie Elmore has more than 19 years of tax planning and consulting experience. As a senior tax director at BDO Seidman, LLP. Laurie prepares and reviews federal and state tax returns for high net worth individuals, private equity groups, corporations, family partnerships, trusts and estates as well as non-profit entities. She also provides tax consulting services and assistance with governmental agency examinations. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs. Laurie earned her Masters in Taxation and BBA in Accounting from Baylor University.
Roger H. Beless - Uplift Governance Committeeroger.beless@archongroup.comMr. Beless serves as Chief Operating Officer for Archon Residential, the multifamily operating division of Archon Group, L.P. Archon Group, L.P., a Goldman Sachs Company, is an international investment management company. He is a Board Member of the National Multi Housing Council and Apartment Life. Mr. Beless received an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BBA Economics from Baylor University. He is married with four children. Two of his children are recent North Hills graduates, and two children currently attend North Hills.
David is a graduate of Amherst College, where he majored in history, and Boston College, where he earned a Masters in Education with a focus on urban education. A career educator, David has held a variety of teaching, coaching and administrative positions in a range of academic environments including boarding schools, urban public schools and independent day schools. Currently, David is the Head of Upper School at GreenhillSchool where he has served since 2003. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, David teaches a course in Comparative European and United States History.
Karen Phillips - IB Liaisonphillipskaren@netscape.netKaren is currently an Advanced Academics Consultant who assists schools with the application process for the International Baccalaureate program. She also works with teachers to align other programs in a variety of formats such as Advanced Placement and Gifted/Talented strategies with IB or Advanced Placement with Gifted/Talented. Karen is certified as an IBNA evaluator for the application and authorization process. She is currently the Executive Director for Texas International Baccalaureate Schools. Karen has served on the Texas International Baccalaureate Schools Board of Directors, Commissioner’s Advisory Council for Gifted Education, New Standards Project for Gifted Education, and the Texas Council for the Humanities.

He is currently Principal, and Global Director of Education for HKS Architects, Inc. Mark has served as DFW Chapter President and Regional Board Member for the Council of Educational Facility Planners International Southern Region. He also served as a Texas representative for the National Center for the 21st Century Schoolhouse in San Diego, California. He has received many professional honors and awards, including the CEFPI Southern Region Cornerstone Award. His professional associations include the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Committee for Architects in Education, Texas Society of Architects, Texas College and University Facilities Association, the Society for College and University Planning, and the Council of Educational Facility Planners International.
